New Orleans has been home since 2010.
I moved to New Orleans in 2010. Much of the work I have made here has involved dancers, writers, visual artists, actors, and musicians.
That interdisciplinary life can be heard in works such as A Streetcar Named Desire, a full-length ballet after Tennessee Williams; Planned Obsolescence, created in dialogue with paintings by Miriam Lilje; and Gilded, an opera that grew from an earlier song cycle.
Before New Orleans
Born in Ellendale, North Dakota, in 1980 and raised in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area, Fuller studied composition at Bard College, the Peabody Institute, and the University of Michigan.
His teachers included Joan Tower, Christopher Theofanidis, Evan Chambers, Bright Sheng, and Michael Daugherty.

Tucker Fuller is a composer in New Orleans. He writes for orchestra, chamber ensembles, ballet, opera, and theatre. Born in North Dakota and raised in Minnesota, he studied at Bard College, the Peabody Institute, and the University of Michigan before moving to New Orleans in 2010.
